Huawei RRU5509t is a multi-band 2T4R remote radio unit from Huawei RRU5000 series, supporting combined 700 MHz (n28/Band28) + 800 MHz (n20/Band20) + 900 MHz (n8/Band8) FDD spectrum in one single radio module. It is built on Huawei SingleRAN architecture and supports multi-RAT coexistence: GSM, UMTS, LTE FDD, NR FDD and NR SUL, which helps operators reuse existing sites and realize smooth evolution from 2G/3G/4G to 5G.
This integrated triple-band RRU greatly reduces the quantity of radio units, tower space, feeder cables and installation workload. It adopts outdoor IP65 enclosure, fanless natural cooling design, pole or wall mounting, and connects with Huawei DBS3900 / DBS5900 BBU via CPRI interface. It is widely used for rural wide-area coverage, suburban continuous coverage, indoor deep penetration and low-band 5G overlay networking.
